A journalistās questions. A storytellerās voice. A lasting curiosity.
Iām Neha Tripathiāa science communicator, journalist, writer, educator, and the curious mind behind NehaScope.
A mosquito bite. A mission to the Moon. A new battery. A familiar habit weāve never thought to question.
For me, each can be the beginning of a story.
Iām interested in what makes things work, how we know what we know, and why that knowledge matters in everyday life. My work is about following those questionsāand making the answers worth reading, watching, or listening to.
Welcome to my scope on the world.
From the newsroom to the world of āwhyā
My journey spans more than 20 years across television, radio, digital media, and education.
In television news, I worked through the urgency of live broadcasts, helped launch the transition from Janmat to Live India, and produced the primetime current affairs show India Prime. The newsroom taught me to ask sharper questions, respect deadlines, and find the story within a flood of information.
Those instincts continue to shape my science communication today: check the claim, understand the context, speak to the people who know, and give the audience something meaningful to take away.
Science, in a language that feels like yours
Much of my work focuses on communicating science in Hindi. I care deeply about making complex ideas accessible while preserving their depth and accuracy.
That means going beyond an intriguing headline. It means checking the evidence, talking to scientists and subject experts, and finding explanations that invite people into the conversation.
Through SipSci, I develop science videos, experiment-based concepts, and explainers that connect research with everyday questions. My work has also included scripting and anchoring programmes for DD Science and India Science, writing for Science Reporter and Vigyan Pragati, and creating radio stories for All India Radio on sustainability and climate change.
Whether the subject is space exploration, agricultural innovation, or a technology finding its way into our homes, I keep returning to one question:
What will help someone understand thisāand care enough to explore further?
A classroom can have many forms
Sometimes it has desks. Sometimes itās a live broadcast, an interactive video, or a question that makes a student pause and think.
My work with CIET, NCERT has included moderating more than 200 live educational sessions, interactive shows, and webinars, alongside developing learning materials, biology MOOC content, self-assessment modules, and augmented reality content.
Iāve also taught journalism and contributed to journalism curriculum development. Across these settings, I enjoy finding ways to turn information into participation: something learners can question, test, connect, and use.
Still exploring
The media through which we learn and tell stories keep changing. Iām curious about those changes too.
My research has explored language in media, community radio, digital education, and the evolving relationship between people and technology. It feeds a continuing interest in how stories travelāand what happens to our understanding along the way.
NehaScope brings these interests together: science, storytelling, education, media, and the questions that connect them.
Come for an explanation. Stay for the next question.
Letās sip the wonders of science, together.
