9 Apr : Listen to World’s first known recorded song

As the video says itself – This is the first ever recording of human voice.
Although the recording is not very clear but its very very special.
This is a voice singing the words “Au clair de la lune, mon ami Pierrot, prête-m—”.
This 10 seconds recording was done on 9 April 1860.

The device used for this recording is called phonautograph. It is the earliest known device for recording sound, not to play them back.

1860 में आज पहली बार सुनाई देने लायक इंसानी आवाज़ की recording संभव हो पाई. इस उपकरण का नाम phonautograph था. इससे सिर्फ आवाज़ रिकॉर्ड की जा सकती थी, सुनी नहीं जा सकती थी. साल 2008 में इन रिकॉर्डिंग्स को स्कैन करके कंप्यूटर पर सुना जा सका. इसे आगे चल कर ध्वनि तरंगों पर हुए कई scientific investigations में इस्तेमाल भी किया गया था.
