But, why we are talking about twitter today ?
Because, Twitter turned 17 today. It was today in 2006, that foundation stone for twitter was laid down.
1. Jack Dorsey, Noah Glass, Biz Stone, and Evan Williams created it and it was launched in the same year in July.
2. Twitter was almost called “Friendstalker.”
3. The first tweet was written by co-founder Jack Dorsey on March 21, 2006.
4. It all started with an automated five-word message.
5. Later it was updated to 140 characters at a time.
6. Twitter’s iconic bird logo is named ‘Larry’ after a sports legend former NBA player, Larry Bird.
7. It is said that twitter was created on the top of a slide.
8. Twitter is a not only a revolution today, it is a weapon in the hands of the people.
9. Twitter followers not only counts your fame, but also let you guide certain amount of people with your thoughts and ideology.
10. Twitter won’t allow you to follow 2,000 people unless you have 2,000 followers.

आज Twitter का जन्मदिन है। 2006 में आज ही के दिन Twitter की नींव रखी गई थी। Twitter के Users सिर्फ 140 Characters के Messages यानी “Tweets” के ज़रिए अपने विचारों को पूरी दुनिया के साथ Share करते हैं। Twitter पर पहला ट्वीट, ट्विटर के सह-संस्थापक जैक डोर्सी ने 21 मार्च 2006 को किया था। Twitter पर हर एक सेंकेड में करीब 6 हज़ार Tweets किए जाते हैं। कहा जाता है कि ट्विटर का आविष्कार एक झूले पर बैठ कर किया गया था। मतलब ट्विटर बनाने वाले को इसका ख्याल झूला झूलते हुए आया और आज के दिन 2006 में उसने ट्विटर शुरु किया। 2013 तक ट्विटर से एक भी पैसे का फायदा नहीं हुआ। लेकिन वक्त के साथ ट्विटर एक क्रांति का नहीं बल्कि एक ऐसे हथियार का नाम बन गया जिससे आप अपने मन की बात को लोगों तक पहुंचाने के साथ-साथ उनका मन बदलने में भी कामयाब हो सकते हैं।
