A legend was born today, who is less known to the world but deserves a special mention. 

Whenever we visit a hospital or a clinic we usually recognise a doctor with his white coat and stethoscope. Now this stethoscope has a very interesting story.

Doctor Rene Laennec must get all the applause for this invention. A man who observed doctors treating patients and listening to their heartbeat by keeping their ear oner the chest of patients. Finally in 1816, Rene Laennec invented stethoscope. He was born today in 1781 and his invention is 201 years old today.

किसी doctor की सबसे बड़ी पहचान होती है Stethoscope। आज Stethoscope का आविष्कार करने वाले Doctor René Laennec का जन्मदिन है। Stethoscope के आविष्कार से पहले डॉक्टर मरीज़ों की छाती पर कान लगाकर ही दिल की धड़कन सुनते थे। 1816 में René Laennec ने Stethoscope का आविष्कार किया। खास बात ये कि इस वर्ष  Stethoscope  के आविष्कार को भी 201 वर्ष पूरे हो चुके हैं।
