It is very well said that need is the basis of all inventions. Same happened with youtube. Who thought of such a platform for videos? and Why it was called youtube?
Internet revolution – YouTube was given its name today in 2005. 14 year old this video sharing platform got its domain name. After getting the name it took 2 months for the website to develop.
The service was created by three former PayPal employees—Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim—in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for US$1.65 billion; YouTube now operates as one of Google’s subsidiaries.
Several stories prevail regarding how the idea of youtube came in scene. Basis of all the stories was the need of a video sharing site.
First video was uploaded on YouTube on 23 April, 2005. It was Me at the Zoo.
