For the first time two international football teams came across to play first international football match in 1872. England and Scotland played this match in Glasgow.

The match begun 20 minutes late due to bad weather. In front of 4000 people, both the teams failed to score any goal and the match was a draw. Entry fees was 1 shilling (A former British coin and monetary unit equal to one twentieth of a pound) i.e. ₹5.

सन 1872 में पहली बार दो इंटरनेशनल टीमों के बीच फुटबॉल का मैच खेला गया था। ये मैच स्कॉटलैंड और इंग्लैंड के बीच Glasgow में खेला गया था। और इसे देखने के लिए करीब 4 हज़ार लोग पहुंचे थे। उस समय मैच की entry fee एक shilling यानी करीब 5 रुपये थी। ये मैच धुंध की वजह से अपने निर्धारित समय से 20 मिनट बाद शुरु हुआ था। स्कॉटलैंड और इंग्लैंड के बीच खेले गए इस मैच में कोई भी टीम गोल नहीं कर पाई थी और ये मैच ड्रॉ रहा था।
