9 Oct : Story of a Girl who was shot for her love for education

The cute little girl in the pic is very fond of education. Irony is she was made to pay for her passion. She was shot in her head at the age of 15. After the treatment she could not only survive but her bravery and determination made the world salute her. At sixteen, she has become a global symbol of peaceful protest and the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize laureate. We all know her by the name of Malala Yousafzai.

2012 में आज ही के दिन पाकिस्तान की मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ता मलाला युसुफज़ई को तालिबान के आतंकियों ने सिर पर गोली मार दी थी। मलाला सुर्खियों में तब आई जब वो तालिबान के राज में घुटन वाली ज़िंदगी पर लेख लिख रही थीं। लड़कियों के लिए शिक्षा का अधिकार मांगने वाली मलाला, तालिबानियों के निशाने पर काफी समय से थीं। 2012 में मलाला पर हमला हुआ जिसमें वो किस्मत से बच गई। दुनिया भर में मलाला की हिम्मत की आज भी तारीफ की जाती है। 2014 में मलाला यूसुफज़ई को नोबेल शांति पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया था।
