22 June : The story of ‘Hand of God’

Remember the ‘Hand of God’ goal in 1986 FIFA World Cup when Argentina star footballer Diego Maradona hit a controversial goal against England. Controversial because, it was said that Maradona used his hand for the goal which is against the rules. Although, match referee approved the goal and it made history.

1986 के FIFA World Cup के दौरान आज Argentina के विश्वप्रसिद्ध footballer Diego Maradona ने England के खिलाफ एक मशहूर और विवादित गोल दागा था. इस गोल को Hand of God goal भी कहा जाता है. तब Diego Maradona Argentina की टीम के captain थे. इस गोल को लेकर Maradona पर आरोप लगा था कि उन्होंने गोल करने के लिए अपने हाथ का इस्तेमाल किया था. जबकि नियमों के मुताबिक ऐसा नहीं हो सकता था. हालांकि मैच के दौरान रेफरी ने इस गोल को सही माना था.

उस समय जब इस बात पर मैराडोना की प्रतिक्रिया मांगी गई तो उन्होंने इस गोल के बारे में कहा – “a little with the head of Maradona and a little with the hand of God. 
जिस के बाद से ये गोल Hand of God के नाम से मशहूर हुआ.
